Depósito Centralizado de Valores (Deceval in Spanish)
Deceval acts as the backbone of the Colombian post-trade infrastructure. The institution provides secure custody, administration, clearing, and settlement services for a wide range of financial assets, including equities, fixed-income securities, funds and other type of securities.
By leveraging advanced electronic book-entry systems and operating under international standards like Delivery versus Payment (DVP), Deceval mitigates systemic risk, ensures transaction finality, and fosters efficiency and trust in the regional capital market.

Depósito Central de Valores (DCV in spanish)
It is a system designed for asset servicing and the deposit and custody of securities in the form of electronic records (dematerialized). It is administered by Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia) per the provisions of Article 21 of Law 31 of 1992 and Article 22 of Decree 2520 of 1993.
